Weddings make everyone think about love. Naomi is no different when she has too much to drink at her friend's bachelorette party and has to leave early. She calls her ex lover's best friend whom she met again that evening for a booty call. Ryan has secretly loved her for years and regrets he let his ex best friend steal her from under his nose. So he doesn't need asking twice. Their passionate encounter ends abruptly when the alcohol overload makes her ill.
The wedding the following day throws them together again but Naomi is wary and embarrassed. She agrees to be Ryan's date but asks her fellow bridesmaid Becky to act as chaperone to save her from her impulsive nature. Frustrated Ryan thinks he's blown his chance but then the ex appears and out of conflict the confusion clears.
This is a charming quick read with likeable characters and steamy love scenes and the chance of a future wedding.
